On this page I will be showing the progress of any painting I am currently working on. I will update this page on a regular basis, so come and visit again soon.

This is a painting I'm working on for a solo exhibition, which will include a selection of paintings of deer, inspired by the many wild roe deer, which inhabit the forests where I live.

As always I start with a rough sketch on paper. Which is then transfered to my pastel paper. The sketch was actually done on white paper but the blue makes it easier to see.

In this picture I really wanted to emphasize the sunlight on the deer. Most of the detail is now finished on the deer, next I will work on the foreground. Once the picture is finished it will be available to see on the gallery page and will be on sale.
